The Present Moment: Gift-Giving This Holiday Season
The Present Moment: Gift-Giving This Holiday Season
December 4, 2024
For many, this can be a stressful time of year. Holiday hosting, activities, and gift buying can put many of us into a tailspin (not to mention the poor house). Some of us stress about buying the “perfect” gift, while others worry about affording something that will seem special to the recipient. And of course these days, there’s the added stress of worrying about being lured into a scam if you buy something online (which millions of us do). For some tips about how to avoid the “holiday hustle,” put down your credit card and read here.
With the idea that even small gifts can be meaningful and that in this day and age, many if not most of us don’t need “material goods” but do need a bit of pampering and self-care, here are a few lists you may want to peruse: Prevention magazine has a gift list for the “wellness-inclined woman” and The Washington Post put together a guide of gifts to help you live well. Maria Shriver curated a list of items to help in your search for a meaningful life, and of course, what list would be complete without Oprah’s favorite things for 2024?
