It may seem counter-intuitive, but for many, the search for work, especially part-time, often begins at the moment of retirement from full-time employment. In fact, those over 65 are much more likely to work part-time than younger colleagues, either because of a desire for a more relaxed pace or because of concerns about retirement income affecting Social Security eligibility. But post-retirement work can provide meaning and social connection in your life, in addition to extra income that can cushion retirement savings. Read more about his book, and philosophy of life, from this recent Forbes interview with Chris Farrell by retirement expert Kerry Hannon.
